Studying again at the University of Vienna

To resume your studies means that you have already studied at the University of Vienna and now, you would like to study the same or a different degree programme.

If you have completed a degree programme here and would like to start with a master or doctoral programme, you will have to apply for admission to a degree programme in the normal way.

  • The resumption is possible only within the respective admission period and if your degree programme is still offered. You will be admitted, without exception, to the currently valid curriculum (i.e. you studied diploma programme Teacher Education > resumption of bachelor programme Teacher Education).
  • Apply for resumption in due time, as the processing time may increase at the end of the admission period.
  • It is not possible to study the same degree programme at two different Austrian universities.
  • At your "StudienServiceStelle" (SSS) or "StudienServiceCenter" (SSC) you may apply for the recognition of passed courses. Information on the recognition of exams is provided by the responsible "Studienprogrammleitung" (SPL).
