Course and examination registration system

Den Prüfungspass finden Sie in u:space unter dem Menüpunkt Studium. Er ist nach der Struktur Ihres Curriculums aufgebaut. Dadurch sehen Sie auf einen Blick, welche Lehrveranstaltungen Sie bereits absolviert haben, welche Leistungen Sie als nächstes absolvieren müssen und welche Voraussetzungen dafür erforderlich sind.

You can find the record of examinations in u:space under the tab “Studies”. It is organised according to the structure of your curriculum. This way, you can see at a glance which courses you have already completed, which achievements you have to complete next and what requirements you have to fulfil for them.

Suchen Sie in Ihrem Prüfungspass in u:space nach Modulen, in denen Sie noch Lehrveranstaltungen absolvieren müssen (rotes und oranges Ampelsymbol) und wählen Sie die gewünschte Leistung aus. Mit einem Klick auf das Buch-Icon werden Sie zu dafür angebotenen Lehrveranstaltungen in u:find weitergeleitet.
Alternativ können Sie direkt in u:find nach Lehrveranstaltungen suchen.

Search for modules for which you still have to complete courses (red and orange traffic light symbol) in your record of examinations in u:space. Then, select the achievement you would like to complete next. By clicking on the book icon you will be forwarded to the relevant courses in u:find.

Alternatively, you can also search for courses directly in u:find.

Click on the courses available for completing the selected achievement in u:find. You will get detailed information about the course type, number of ECTS credits, registration and de-registration periods, course dates, contents, objectives, methods, Moodle, lecturers, etc.

If you click on “Register/Deregister for this course” you will be automatically forwarded to u:space where you can complete your registration.

You can only register for courses within the relevant registration period. Certain courses may have a limited number of study places. As long as you register within the relevant registration period, the exact moment of your registration has no influence on the allocation of study places (no “first come, first served” principle).

If you have any questions about registration periods or the available number of study places, please contact the studies service center/studies service unit of your degree programme.

After Step 3: “Select course in u:find”, the status “angelegt” (pre-registered) will appear in the registration system in u:space.

Next, you have to select your degree programme, the respective curriculum point (module) and any preferred parallel courses. For courses with a limited number of study places, you will have to allocate points/preferences. Click on “save” to complete the registration.

As soon as the registration period has ended, the system will allocate the places on the courses. Registrations are organised according to the specifications of the curricula (e.g. points system, preference system or according to performanc). Places will be allocated accordingly.

Next, the status of your registration will be updated in u:space and you will receive an information e-mail on your u:account e-mail address. 

Possible registration status before the allocation of study places:

• angelegt (pre-registered): You definitely have a place on the course.
• vorgemerkt (in consideration): You will be taken into consideration in the allocation of study places.

Possible registration status after the allocation of study places:

• angemeldet (registered)
• auf der Warteliste (on the waiting list)
• in einer anderen Lehrveranstaltung (in another course)
• kein Platz (no place available)

You can see the details about the examination (e.g. date, time, venue, examiner(s), alternative examination dates) on u:find.

Click on “Register/Deregister for this exam”. You will be forwarded to the registration system on u:space, where you can complete your registration.

You can only register for examinations within the relevant registration period. You can check the registration period on u:find.

Your registration currently has the status “angelegt” (pre-registered) on u:space. Next, you have to select your degree programme and the respective curriculum point (module). Click on “save” to complete the registration. Now, your registration has the status “angemeldet” (registered) on u:space. In addition, you will receive an e-mail on your u:account e-mail address, informing you that your registration was successful.

If you do not fulfil all the necessary requirements (e.g. examinations from the introductory and orientation period) for taking the examination, the missing requirements will appear in the registration system. In this case, you are not able to register for the examination.
