Remission of the Tuition Fee for the winter semester 2012/13

The constitutional court has decided on 30 October 2013 that the autonomous charge of tuition fee by the universities in the winter semester 2012/13 is unconstitutional.

As announced by the University of Vienna, the remission of the tuition fee for the winter semester 2012/13 will be executed.

All affected students will be informed by e-mail (or terrestrial post, if no valid e-mail address is known) about required next steps:

1. Students who are admitted at the University of Vienna

Students who have an Austrian or German bank account, enter their bank account information in u:space ("Personal Matters" > "Personal Data"). If you already entered you bank account information, you have to enter it anew.

Please note, that the request for confirmation will vanish once you click "edit." This is necessary, as assurance, that you confirm all changes in your bank account data.

Students that you have no Austrian or German bank account have to use the form "Rückzahlung Studienbeitrag Wintersemester 2012/13".

2. Students who are no longer admitted to the University of Vienna

Students who have an Austrian or German bank account, enter their bank account information in u:space ("Personal Matters" > "Personal Data"). Login and editing personal data is still possible, even without an active u:account.

Students that you have no Austrian or German bank account have to use the form "Rückzahlung Studienbeitrag Wintersemester 2012/13".
