Aptitude assessment Teacher Education Programmes

  • The registration period for the aptitute assessment of the academic year 2019/20 is over. The deadlines of the academic year 2020/21 will be announced in spring 2020. 
  • Prospective students who have registered in due time will be informed about the further steps by e-mail.

 

The admission to this bachelor degree programme is possible only if you successfully participate in the aptitude assessment and fulfil all requirements for admission to a bachelor programme at the University of Vienna.

The registration for the aptitude assessment is possible without a secondary-school leaving certificate. Upload all required documents for the admission directly after you get them.

If you do not have proficiency in German at level B2 or higher, please read the information about proficieny in German and about the admission procedure carefully.

In the personal enrolment for the degree programme proof of German proficiency at C1 level (or higher) is required.

Your steps in the aptitude assessment


Step1: Online-Self-Assessment (OSA)

The deadline for the Online-Self-Assessment is already over. 

You can conduct the Online-Self-Assessment out of interest year round.

 

Step 2: Registration and application for admission to a degree programme

The deadline for the registration and application is already over.

 

Step 3: The written exam

The written exam took place. All participants received information about the further steps via e-mail.

Step 4: Individual counselling interview

Those applicants who reach less than 30% of the required points in the written aptitude test will be invited to an individual counselling interview, where their aptitude for a teacher accreditation will be discussed, the results will be analysed and strategies to overcome individual shortcomings will be planned. The interview is compulsory to be admitted to the degree programme.

The dates for these interviews will be scheduled by e-mail.

Step 5: After the result

The admission to the degree programme is possible after the announcement of the results if you have been successful in the aptitude assessment and fulfil all requirements for the admission to a bachelor programme at the University of Vienna.
