Entrance examination Teacher Education Programmes


  • The registration period for the entrance examination for the academic year 2018/19 is over. The deadlines for the next entrance examination will be announced in spring 2019!

 

The admission to this programme is possible only if you successfully participate in the entrance examination and fulfil all requirements for admission to a bachelor programme at the University of Vienna.

If you do not have proficiency in German at level B2 or higher, please read the information about proficieny in German and about the entrance procedure carefully.

In the personal enrolment for the degree programme you then have to prove German proficiency at C1 level (or higher).

The entrance procedure at a glance

  • Available places: no restriction
  • Registration period and payment of examination fee (50 Euro): over for the academic year 2018/19

Step 1: Registration in u:space

Step 3: The written examination

 

At least 14 days before the entrance examination you will find a personal invitation in the summary of your application in u:space. Without this invitation letter you may not participate in the written entrance exam.  

Please save the whole day for the test and if you come from abroad travel at least the day before.   

Details about the entrance exam and the required literature will be announced in time.

The pure working time for the exam will be 2.0 hours.

At the end of the exam you will be informed about the further steps. The results will be sent via e-mail.

Step 4: Individual counselling interview

 

Those applicants who reach less than 30% of the required points in the examination will be invited to an individual counselling interview, where their aptitude for a teacher accreditation will be discussed, the results will be analysed and strategies to overcome individual shortcomings will be planned. The interview is compulsory to be admitted to the degree programme.

The dates for these interviews will be scheduled by e-mail.

Step 5: After the result

 

The admission to the degree programme is possible after the announcement of the results if you have been successful in the entrance examination and fulfil all requirements for a bachelor programme at the University of Vienna.
