The deadline for the registration and application is already over.

Step 3: The written exam

At least 14 days before the written entrance exam you will receive an e-mail with information about the exact schedule for the entrance exam and a link to your "Einlassbestätigung". Without this "Einlassbestätigung" you may not participate in the entrance exam. Please save the whole day for the written entrance exam and if you come from abroad travel at least the day before.

Please save the whole day for the test and if you come from abroad/outside Vienna be advised to travel at least the day before.

The written entrance exam consists of three parts and evaluates the following skills:

  • Part A: knowledge of assigned learning materials
  • Part B: cognitive skills

The pure working time for the exam will be 2.0 hours.

At the end of the exam you will be informed about the further steps. Around 14 days after the exam the results as well as information about your further steps will be sent via e-mail as well.

Ranking

Part A counts for 80% of the overall score, Part B for 20%.

The obtained points are normalised and weighted, i.e. they are converted in a way that allows for a comparison of test parts and makes these correspond with the defined weighting. The values of the test parts calculated in this way are added and produce the overall result, which is decisive for the ranking.
