Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)
The Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Vienna is concerned with academic development, providing guidance, support and specialised qualification to teaching staff, administrators students and student multipliers. The focus of the Centre for Teaching and Learning currently includes:
- qualification to teaching of employees at the various career levels
- qualification of student multipliers/employees
- developing students' skills in academic work and peer learning
- further development of study programmes and teaching towards a digitally savvy face-to-face university
- developing suitable service and support formats and designing information and counselling services for various target groups
- design of admission and aptitude procedures and further development of the university's examination culture

Services for directorates of studies (SPL)
- Creating analyses as a basis for further development of studies (based on internal and external data)
- Teaching practice supported by student multipliers: STEOP-mentoring, writing mentoring etc.
- Supporting the ongoing improvement of study programmes
- Implementation of Online-Self-Assessments (OSA) for prospective students
- Assisting with curricular development
- Fostering feedback in teaching and diversity in teaching

- Prospective students
- First year students: Supporting preparation for STEOP-exams, orientation at the University of Vienna, learning strategies etc.
- Services for students during their studies: Supporting academic writing, reading, learning, researching and much more
